The MYndful Movement Program Resource

The MYndful MovementTM (MYM) Program is the only Canadian mindfulness-based program with developmental trajectory.

The MYM is an easy-to-follow lesson plans for elementary through to high school educators and parents of at-home learners. Your own personal practice of mindfulness will be enhanced as you bring mindfulness to your students and children. Together, you will walk through a regular practice secular mindfulness for movement of body, breath and mind.


The powerful benefits of trauma-sensitive mindfulness strengthen children’s ability to

  • feel more compassion to themselves and to others
  • reframe negative thoughts

A stressed out child cannot learn well. Begin your class with a short mindful moment to help students regulate themselves for clarity of mind. Integrating The MYM program into your course will likely maximize focused learning time and reduce transition time with greater ease for both teacher and student.


Use a favourite activity as a stand-alone MYndful Moment or implement a session each week for the suggested consecutive 8-weeks. This comprehensive program may lead your entire student body in a school-wide well-being initiative.


Based on the rapidly growing scientific research, paying attention to what is happening inside our mind helps us to relate to our outside world. Developing this sensory awareness empowers students to manage their thoughts, feelings and emotions for greater resilience throughout their lives.

- Each activity is designed to accommodate a busy educator’s schedule. 

The MYM resource includes two educational manuals: Grades 1–6 and Grades 7–12. Each student will gain a clear understanding of their brain, their senses and their own ability to regulate thoughts through present-moment awareness.

Through games, drumming, movement, creative reflections and much more, your child/youth will practice being present in the moment without judgment to themselves or others. These focus-ready students are able to listen, retain, respond and communicate to their true potential with a more peaceful mind.


A wide variety of activities for stress reduction, anxiety and depression management, and the general well-being of all children and youth are included.
